Going to Mongolia.

I am planning a trip to Mongolia next spring hunting Siberian Ibex and Argali Sheep, the world’s largest wild sheep, in the majestic high Altai mountains.

Any tips from those that have experienced, and hunted these creatures their before ?

Hunting the Altai's for High Altai Argali would be the pinnacle for anyone that loves sheep hunting in my opinion. Well, maybe a Markhor hunt would equal it, but it is arguable.

Who do you book through and hunting with?

The only tip I can come up with is to bring me with you as your gunbearer!

I think about hunting Mongolia quite often, and hope to do so in the future. So please fill us in about your plans, who, where etc!

I had the good fortune to hunt Ibex last year in the Altays south east of Hovd.
We went in April and the conditions where dry and cold.
The Ibex still had great winter coats and not the normal brown.
It is a great place to hunt and you should enjoy it.
