Anybody in Aus have any experiance with the Jeep Cherokee Diesel?

Hi, I'm from norway, and a good friends father had one once.. and my neighbour has one present..

I don't know how the taxes and prices varies among 4WD in Aus, but here it's a relatively cheap car, which is just that- cheap..:-/ He wasn't overly happy with it. A bit to much tractor to his liking. and there was always sometinh he had to fix...

I've understood that Aus and Nz has quite a few Toyotas? We do aswell, but not that many models.. The landcruiser (mod 90) is a much better car. I'd stick with that one if you find one at a good price.

A chevy Blazer(?) s10(?) (small type) is also a good car for the size, more durable than the bigger ones... My neighbour had one of those to test for a weekend, but ended up with a Cherokee due to price. He regrets to this day.. He says he should've bought an older small chevy instead..

I guess we all have our favorites, but some cars have more problems than others... When I find out I want to trade my car, I'd rather by an older car of a reputable brand, than to get a new one from a lesser brand.

A Jeep Cherokee would be priced between A$45,000 and A$55,000 depending on options. Maybe a little more now.
