The company had a different interpretation of a "classic" stock and they have listed both - Classik and Classik Neu.

The models with sights look very nice. I am not put off by European style stocks, but I do like to see the flag type safety on European rifles. I enjoy your links,

My pleasure. Yes, I love the traditional Mauser safety - my rifle has the original one that it came with and since I don't use those newfangled things called scopes, it works beautifully for me.  Yes, of course, iron sights are a fine thing to have even when a rifle is mounted with a scope in my opinion.
I like the ultra slim look of the Kessler rifles and they must be very light in weight despite having a blued steel and wood construction. I doubt that I'll ever be able to afford to buy one but would like to someday replicate the stock shape on a more pedestrian rifle.

Without a doubt, small shop American custom gunmakers are doing the finest bolt action rifles in the world. They may not have website to dream about but the work of Jerry Fisher, James Tucker, Duane Wiebe, Gene Simillion, Steve Heilmann, Joe Smithson, Pete Grisel and a few others build the bolt rifles I would desire.

lose the cheekpiece and the forend tip and it's almost my idea of Mauser perfection. Post-Surgery eyes unfortunately require scopes these days so I guess I would have to live with the Winchester safety.

It is a beautiful classic style Mauser, and I very much like shadow line cheekpieces done as well as this was. I would like everything a bit less shiney, however, but I COULD live with it, as-is.

I am fortunate enough to own a 9.3 x 62 with classic hogsback stock, german open sights, claw mounts, old 4 power scope etc. I believe that it may have been restored by John Saunders in Victoria Australia, however the serial no's in the book of the Mauser match up with the year 1905 which is when the cartridge was conceived I believe. The original trigger has been replaced by a canjar, but the safety is the original wing type.
It is magnificent, kills buffalo and I love it.

The most beautiful bolt rifles I have seen recently were all made here, as you very rightly point out. But this is a look at European fine guns. I like the light and sleek look of the Kessler rifles and am sure that one of the gunmakers here could do as well if not much better. Just posting something that I saw on the web.
When you endorse particular gunmakers, they must indeed be the finest in the world!
