The weather was finally good enough to take my Army & Navy 450/400 3 1/4 " out for the first time.I was pleased with the results, the best load tested was 81gr of IMR4831 with a federal 215 primer and a 400gr Woodleigh soft point.Below is a pic of the target. The group was 1 1/2" wide and 3/4" tall, not too bad for a gun over 100 years old. Fred

Pretty good. You must be happy.
When are you going to let it draw blood?

Add my congratulations too, WVFRED. Another vintage Brit double doing what they do best!
...or seemingly achieving the impossible, according to the anglophobes!
Fifty yards I take it? Good stuff!

Thanks Marrakai, Yes I was shooting at 50 yards with my hand resting in a sand bag.I believe thats about as good as these eyes can do.This was my first time shooting it and I'm pretty happy with it so far.Everything worked great the ejectors put the empties a couple feet behind me.I'm ready to take it somewhere hunting now.
