I was posting about James Mellon's book "African Hunter".
Craig Bodington has been managing a collective work to make edit by Safari press "African Hunter 2". Introduction by James Mellon.
This book was not cheap : 1 500 $ but 50 copies only. Has anybody here bought this book?
Now it's offered in hard cover for 135 $, not cheap too, but it's kind of a bible.
It could be my next christmas present.............that I'll buy next week or so.Later I'll wrap and put it under the christmas tree.

And I find them both worth owning. The original by Mellon is my favorite (I don't know if it's still available), but the new one is good too since it has a lot of updated info. However, I'd go for the less expensive $135 version (which I did, and it's still bloody expensive IMO!). Mine was signed by Boddington actually, since I bought it from him directly.
I think there are 3 versions of African Hunter II. The 1500 dollar, 375, and 135. They are all the same book but the 1500 and 375 come signed and I think there are only 50 of the 1500 and 400 of the 375. The more expensive ones also come in a slipcase. I got the 375 one as a gift. It is an excellent book as a reference.
