Hope and Pray.

Hi All,
On a very negative and depressing note.The world of hunters should hope and pray that things in South Africa turns around qiuckly otherwise we will lose our hunting areas in SA because of things like the news report below.

About time an open season was declared on them black sub human animals.

When I was in Zululand back in the mid 90s, there was quite a bit of that going on there. The farmers in the area established their own defense network, and every farm was linked by radio. At the first sign of trouble, a call for help went out on the radio circuit, and all the farmers in the area immediately converged on the farm being attacked. After a couple on months of the local defense force taking things into their own hands, since the police seemed incapable, or unwilling to help, things quieted down when these thugs realized that the local farmers were serious about protecting their friends. Quite a few of these murderers were hunted down, and bush justice prevailed.

Any of you boys read "Something of Value"? or "Uhuru"? Sounds very similar to the Mau Mau uprising, and the only effective way of dealing with that is extreme measures. The white farmers and ranchers I've talked to have a saying "lets go shoot some cans, soda cans, soup cans, afri-cans". Makes you wonder when the rest of the world will realize that, these people are mentally incapable of governing themselves. I'm SA born and it sickens me to see this great country go down.

Life is cheap in Africa.

Without government support it must be hard for these farmers, but also for other blacks that the gangsters prey on.

The future doesn't look promising and probably only will get worse.

I can't be economics, you can give these guys all the land in the world and they'll just squander it. Quite sad really. Whats it like in OZ?

Also, no one ever answered this, but do water buff charge very often?

I'm not an expert, but I would answer it with a question. In the real world, how often do cape buffalo charge? Not often I think.

Every now and again a water buffalo just seems to want to go somewhere and if he is in a bad mood. If you are the way, it doesn't worry him.

I had a prairie dog do that to me just the other day...decided to go across the road even with my car in the way...he didn't make it.
