Hunting leopards with hounds - bakkie

I was watching a video a couple weeks back and it had a short clip where the guys were hunting a leopard with scent trailing hounds. The leopard came boiling out from a bush at the vehicle and was shot by the client with a shotgun.

What was unusual to me was they were following the dogs with a bakkie ie most of the party was on th vehicle maybe with a couple dog handlers or trackers on the ground.

Are hound hunts for leopard normally hunted from bakkies?

I do think the leopard in full charge did mean to board the utility's tray however and that might have got quite exciting had it got that far.

I have also seen that clip. Was it in Boddington's DVD? The guy was shooting from the back on the left side and stopped the leopard right next to the truck. Same One?

Well if they'd have gotten horses it would have been done right but now a days, most people don't know how to ride.

We offer a hunt as you described in Botwana. It employs both dogs and bushmem. I have not been on it but I understand it can be very exciting once the leopard has had enough of the chase.
