Last year my cousin shot 2 splendid PURPLE (VULTURINE) GUINEA FOWLS. You cannot imagine how shiny and beautiful the feathers are. The skinners did a great job, taking almost a night to safely preserve the hides. In the morning the outfitter and the French taxidermist discovered the birds hides.
I never saw faster guys when the seized the birds and burnt them on the spot, thus destroying any evidence. THE PURPLE GUINEA FOWL IS ENDANGERED AND FULLY PROTECTED.
