My friends father just took this buck in my hunting area. Believe it or not this is the small one! I have been trying for the big one all season and have yet to get a good shot opportunity yet! Well......maybe this week! The rut is on. This is what all bowhunters have been waiting for.

Wow, nice deer! I have yet to see a small one like that here.

I was very close to taking a small 9 pointer yesterday on a stalk. Just could not get turned with out spooking him. Hopefully he will come through the ditch I was in at the same place on Wednesday. He seemed to like one of the trees on the other side.
