JB,

I don't know this virus, but I would hope you are doing as the doctors order and will get well bientôt.

En ce qui concerne les singes, as-tu les mangé? J'espère pas! Ils sont comme notre cousins, n'est-ce pas?

BTW, I do love that bongo photo. What a magnificent animal!

Sorry to hear a second bug got you down. Luckily you have enough mischief in you to get rid of it quickly. I hope you recover quickly.

You all are too kind,

I am not tough but wilful. 8 employees depend on me . So I have to work in any circumstances. This frigging virosis is paralysing the Reunion Island, more than 100 000 people suffering.
This virosis is a really a strange disease. The pain is permanently migrating from one part of the body to another. Nothing indicating I’ll soon recover.
Yesterday was a real nightmare, today is wonderful. I feel so healthy that I acted like a young man. It resulted my falling today twice in the street. Never mind, I feel strong and happy. Thank You for Your concern.
My Hunting report is almost ready. What puzzling me is that this report is a bit sad and pessimistic. I now count on Stuart, a splendid Australian in Switzerland to correct it.
Good luck.
Jaco , You talking about the second bloodsucker. I insist, my ears are safe.

In reply to:

JB,

Are you sure you aren't actually ill from eating the "bush-meat" pictured.

I must admit that I saw that the pictured meat was of monkey origin. Visit almost any market in western Africa, and often only such "bush-meat" can be found. Or as my wife and I liked to call it; "mystery meat", since you would sometimes only see chunks of flesh, with no way to know what it really was. Besides it obviously not being beef! Which is one reason we didn't buy meat in the open markets of most of west/central Africa that we visited.

Seriously though, I hope you recover soon, and fill us in on your CAR adventure. Both the good and the bad.

Erik
