SEARCY are now offering a complete refurbishment on doubles only according to their latest ad in the SCI mag......pretty sure that they would be able to handle your rifle.

I believe that Paul Roberts the ex-owner of Rigby Rifles is still making doubles on his old premises in London, and he now trades as Paul Roberts of Rigby's....... he just sold the name.

Also there is a company in RSA making doubles using the Searcy actions (don't know if the buy the barrels from Searcy or if they make their own) Price for the PH model is ZAR63000....... that works out (qat the current exchange rate) as similar to a Searcy from the US, but if you could pick a good time with the exchange rate right you could pick up a good deal. I've got their contact info somewhere. If anyone's interested, all you have to do is send me an e-mail and I'll try to dig it out.

The grand old firm of WW Greener has started making double rifles once again and claim that their Facile Princeps action is, weight for weight, the strongest in the world. http://www.wwgreener.com/

There is also a Russian firm that makes somewhat unusual double rifles that are really fine with hinged front triggers and gold plated parts - a member at another forum gave me the website though I saw an O/U rifle in Russia when I lived there many years ago. http://www.shipunov.com/eng/str/hunt/hunt1.htm

Good hunting!

Ferlib in Italy is another (actually, they make the Dakota double). Sarasqueta went out of business in the 60's or so. Grulla, Arrizabalaga, Armas Ego, and Garbi are all Spanish makers who make double rifles (as well as Arietta, mentioned earlier). Steve

Don't forget the Austrian maker, Ludwig Borovnik:

And also Josef Winkler of Ferlach.

From Italy there is Abbiatico & Salvinelli (FAMARS).
