I just wanted to bring this photo up. That cape buffalo has a really nicely proportioned set of horns, at least to my eye.
This photo is displayed in GeorgeS's signature on his posts but I always admire that buff each time I see it. Good hooks. Long horns and hard bosses. Very nice.

That is a wonderful Buffalo. I like the second picture much better. It show the horns beautifully and gets rid of the 'ugly' background of the first picture.

The bull had a 43 3/8" spread; I don't know how old he was, but he was in prime condition, so I don't think he was on the decline.
