Poor ole 470NE

The poor ole 470NE gets such little respect. I know it's the 30-06 of the DR world, but it has much going for it.

1: It shoots a 500gr bullet.
2: It is .474, good for street cred.
3: Brass and bullets are abundent.
4: Shoots cheap hard cast bullets well.
5: Cabelas sells the ammo - nuff said.

Pull one out at a rifle range and you have intstant street cred. It is visually larger than a .458 Win mag.

In this case, "street Cred" means the "LOOK-AT-ME" factor!

Thanks - that was a genuine question.

I will have to agree with Dugaboy though that
it is probably more a look at me factor than
street cred - most people wouldn't know what the
fxxx a DR was !!!

Street Cred to me would be putting 2 holes in the 10 at 50 yards
off hand !!!

Sure glad for clarification on "street cred". I had visions of a crib in the hood with the home boys gaming the next drive by with a DR.

If that were the case, he would need to change his handle to something more appropriate, like "Blaze-O-Way", "Sir Shoots-a-lot" or "Grandmaster NE".

The 470 is is kinda like the Romeo Y Julieta Churchill, Hecho en Cubana cigar, it's the one all others are judged by.
