450/400 3" and .375 Flanged

Observation:

I was observing the 450/400 3" and was amazed how "modern" it looks despite it being introduced in 1898, steep shouldered and relatively short.

Question:

Was the .375 Flange the last British rimmed cartridge introduced not including the .700 NE?

For an even more modern looking round, check out a .318 Rigby round or even the .303 with radius shoulder and it was originally a BP round. They loaded 70gr. of BP as a solid plug, then put a wad on top, then formed the shoulder and neck with a bullet in place. You can get perhaps 45 to 50gr. 3F in the .303 case using a drop tube, no where near the 70gr. used originally. The ballistics were a 215gr. RN around 1,900fps using Black Powder!

Heavens no. The .577 Rewa, .369 Purdey, .30 Super Flanged H&H, .275 No. 2, .30 Purdey, .246 Purdey, 240 Flanged H&H, etc. all came after the .375 Magnum.

I think the 450 No2 looks very modern as well.
