I wanna try Mongolia to hunt an Ibex. I'm interested in the Gobi Ibex, some gacelles and wolves. Any advice???

Contact Safari Outfitters in Caspar WY. They about own the place. My hunting partner was overjoyed with his Mongolian Ibex, so much so that he has about talked me into a Gobi Ibex/ Gazelle hunt myself.

I'll be there in June. I hope to get an Ibex, gazelles and wolf

Finally I'll go with Mongol Safaris.

Any advice out there???

Great trophies!!! Could you tell us some details? What ranges did you need to shoot at? Was it physically demanding? How was the outfitter/PHs? How many days were you there? Did you spend any time besides the hunt in Mongolia? Costs?

I hope to do the same in the relativly near future!

Well, I been there in June (not the best month to hunt there) and this was not the best year to hunt the Gobi desert (too dry). I saw very few male Ibex, but lots of females and youngs.
I took mine from a 160 m shot with a .338wm using 180 grains ballistic tip point, after 6 days of walks up the mountains. Is not a easy hunt, as usually happens in the mountains, but isn't too hard.
Mongol Safari is a nice company and I hadn't any problem. Everything went perfect.
I spent 10 days there, 6 with Ibex and 3 with the gazelles. I was no lucky with black tailed specie and with wolves, but I'll back

This hunt is less than 6000 Euros.
