mehulkamdar

Some good guns in the Auction - I received an email
from a friend in the US highlighting a few English items
of interest.

I am waiting for his visual inspection before putting in
any bids/

Greg Martin certainly seems to get some good
guns in his Auctions and has had some great collections
over the last year or two.

Has anyone in the US purchased anything from him before ?

Went to the display in NYC today, mostly antique handguns, did see a nice huge H&H Paradox, looked like a 10 guage, and a 20 guage Westley Richards Fauneta, VG externally, did not look in the bores of either.

500 Nitro,

I have not bought from Greg Martin but their people have always been very courteous to talk to. If you would like me to introduce you to them, I would be glad to. But even if you contact them direct, I am certain that you would have a most courteous response.

Vigillinus,

The online catalogue shows a vastly larger number of guns than you have talked about. Perhaps, with local laws in New York restricting the movement of the modern guns for sale, they did not display some of the really nice custom rifles that they have on sale. Now, am I going to win the Lotto to bid on some of the treasures there?

mehulkamdar

Thanks for the offer but I have someone already looking for me
for this auction. I may take you up in future if I need something looked
at in Chicago.

A number of the guns in that Auction have lower values than what the
guns would sell for so it will be interesting to see what they go for.

Thanks again

Strange.

Those folks need either thier web crew to get in gear or to replace thier website staff.

I've had lots of trouble in the past with thier website, this one little glitch is a new one.

Same glitch.

If I gave much of a hoot I'd call the auction house and notify them.
Last time I got them on the phone to discuss and issue with thier website I got some young twink who couldn't seem to give a pinch.

How do you get into his site.

I would llike to check out the Holland Paradox and the Faunetta.

Can anyone post a direct link to either of these?

The first time I ever looked at NitroExpress.com, there was a post about a Searcy .470 selling at Greg Martin the next day. I went and bought the gun - first ever auction for me. Gun is a sister to one I have in Kenya (where ammunition is prohibitively expensive and reloading illegal), so I bought it to be able to practice when I am in the US. The people I dealt with were just fine, and all the guns for sale were on display.
