This has to be the forum to find a cape buff headskin for my mate in Tasmania--he has the head but wants a skin --any body know where to obtain one.

I will contact my Dip & Packing agents in Zimbabwe and Jo'burg to see if they can source any extra headskins for buff.
If they can, your friend can contact them and negotiate a price and if a deal is made, they can include the headskin in with my shipment of trophies and we can work out a sharing of the freight costs (percentage of weight or size). The headskin would need to be delivered to my taxidermist as the quarantine agent and he will probably want a fee for preparing the headskin etc. This bloke is based in Melbourne so as close to Tassie as you can get.
Let me know if your friend is interested. I will email my D&P agents anyway.
Otherwise maybe one of our African members can offer an alternative.

I shot a Cape Buffalo last August and traded the cape (headskin) towards the price of the rest of my taxidermy. So, I know my taxidermist has one. He gave me a $250.00 credit, so I guess that is the negotiation starting point. You can contact them at leadingedge@tritel.net

I remember your story and photo. I really enjoyed them on AR.
Especially the photo with the Maasai. That was a great idea. Please post them here on this forum as a new thread as well (and you do get extra chances at the competition that way. For that photo maybe even bonus points  )

Concerning the head skin, try and contact the Kruger National Park in South Africa cause they cull a hell of a lot of buffs a year.
