E Bond 16 Gauge Boxlock Game Gun
      #395104 - 19/12/25 02:52 PM

Picked up this delightful little 16 gauge Boxlock today. Engraved "Bond" on the receiver and "E Bond Maker" on the lovely Damascus barrels. Not much around on the maker but its a really nice little gun. Imagine its 2 1/2 inch chambered. Anson and Deeley action. Seems to be really well finished. Gorgeous engraving. Slightly loose on face but I can fix that. Previous owner shot clays with it apparently. See how it goes with some light 2 1/2 inch shells. Nice little quail gun I should say.

That is nice. Mine is much more plain with less engraving. yours is very nice indeed.
My Field London gun with hammers and damascus barrels in also 2 1/2". I've only been shooting black powder loads in it and the tubes are bright and shiny inside - no chokes - cylinder bored.
Is your gun choked, Clay?

Daryl looks to be fixed half chokes both barrels. Look tiny compared to a 12 gauge.

I'd wager a day's pay that with black powder and an ounce or 1 1/8th ounce of shot, it will pattern at least modified and maybe full.

Claydog, That is a very nice looking gun.

From my experience, a purpose built 16 is lighter and smaller than a 12.
