The 10.75x68 and it's use in Australia? Or elsewhere?

The 10.75x68 and it's use in Australia?

Following the .404 and comments on its use in the Top End, I'm looking for comments on the use of the 10.75x68 in the Top End, Australia or elsewhere. Historically or in modern times.

Particularly for buffalo.

I've over the years seen a fair few 10,75x67s advertised for sale.

The use of the 10.75x68 is a bit controversial. Some considering it "useless" for big dangerous game. Heavily influenced by the unsuitable 350 gr bullets being two fragile once only being available.

Also with modern powders, what would be the cartridges ballistics using either the normal 350 gr weight projectiles. And 400gr projectiles,

A unicorn I reckon Alby!
Some collector grabbed this piece & handed it down thru the family etc.
As for the price, WAY above what it should be, perhaps a third of what its down for.
Mine you it would be a lovely rifle to get a buff with, Woodies only for this one!

At that price they are playing with themselves, especially as it has double triggers which is something a lot of Mausers in that chambering have. The particular sellers are real wankers and often have guns at moronic prices for sale in some cases for many years.

Here is one at a more reasonable price and with single trigger, however it has also been for sale for months starting originally at $7k.

That's more like the price you should be paying, still a little steep, but it does come with a scope & if you really were after a 10.75 then offer a bit lower!

Some of them are push feed ones. I have handled one .458 Win Mag which stock and action looks very similar.

As Matt says, $20,000 is a walkers price.

Imo $650[ is also ridiculous. For a rifle probably bought at
less than a thousand dollars
.

For a fairly sub standard cartridge chambering.

If it's not cheap why bother with a 10.75x68?
