500 Jeffrey Custom Rifle Montana Rifle Co 12.5x70 Schuler

See: https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/1130545338

Ad states "Custom 500 Jeffrey. Action is from Montana Rifle Co. model 1999, half octagon half round barrel. Gorgeous wood. Exquisite checkering. 20 rounds ammo included. I have not fired it but action functions properly. Good, clean bore. Strong riflings."

This is a nice looking big bore rifle with a starting bid of $8,900 USD.

Perhaps someone can post pictures from the auction.

LOL - can't help but wonder, from which end, North or South?

Sorry I can't post photos Daryl!
Fancy piece, steel buttplate - no wonder this gent hasn't fire it!

S'OK. The steel butt plate, while more aesthetically pleasing to my eye, would definitely not work for me. I'd need mercury recoil reducers and then likely someone else to shoot it for me. LOL

Heck, it just a little 500 Jeffery so what's the worry about the steel butt plate and recoil?? 😁😁😁

My torn cartilage and torn rotator cuff wouldn't like that at all. My little .375 bothers it enough that I shot it once in the last 3 years. That was enough. 1936 Model 70 in .30GVT06 with any load is just fine, thanks.

Daryl,

I certainly understand. I know of several people who stopped shooting big bores because of injuries.
