I got to see this rifle in action at last months BGRC shoot as it is being sold by Andrew Hepner who is a member and a licenced dealer. Very nice looking gun and was accurate as well.

Matt.

Claydog, Thanks for posting.

Interesting that this 1901 DR has hammers and Jones underlever.

It is a very nice looking rifle

That is nice. Was it regulated for the 215gr. or 180gr. load? Just curious.

What a fine rifle! And my friend, Andrew Hepner is a good, honest dealer.

This rifle is a close cousin to my H&H .303. They are about the same vintage. Mine, s/n 17691, was finished January 15, 1901. It differs in that the one Andrew has is a Jones action, while mine is a top-lever.

I posted mine on these forums just over 10 years ago at this thread: Holland & Holland .303 Hammer Double Rifle.

A .303 double rifle is a great rifle to have!

I feel sure it would be regulated for the 215 grain load.

A .303 DR would make an excellent classic DR choice.

I just added the photos to Claydog's first post.

Somebody really needs this rifle. If I didn't already have mine (s/n 17691) I would be digging in my pockets and sweeping out the corners for the money to buy this one.

Don't let such an opportunity pass!
