Very nice indeed!
Hard to improve, but my choice for a 2-barrel takedown on a magnum-length Mauser would be .375 H&H and .300 H&H.
Also nice that they have used that older Deeley-style latch.

Yes.

If it was for me definitely a dual h&h choice.

And a far plainer working rifle with a few custom embellishments.

Nice.

An all WR dual barrel set up would be interesting.

.318 & .425

Tony, according to what WR have said in recent posts is that they have switched across to the Deely Latch for all their take-down rifles. Certainly all the ones they have shown over the last couple of years have that system.

"Westley Richards has applied two types of take-down system over the years; the old bayonet type and the screw-thread, which is used here.

The original bayonet fitting was replaced around 1908 with the screw-thread but we have recently re-engineered the bayonet system using modern machinery, which removes its shortcomings and fashions each section from a solid billet.

We can, therefore, now offer customers a choice."

Claydog, that is correct however in this case we were referring to the take-down locking latch on the forend rather than the type of locking thread used on the barrel.

That would be a good choice.

Do they use the same bolt head size?

Also the magazine construction might be an issue? I noted WR mentioned a lot of work on the magazine. I think a 300 and 375 H&H would fit close enough. One of these has been a dream of mine since 1994 .

Yes, both standard magnum belted ctgs. with standard .532" rim. Same O.D. as the belt.

Yes I think it would be quite the challenge (or impossible?) to get a magazine / feed rail arrangement to cooperate with 318 and 425

Mark, you would be better of having a two gun battery for those two cartridges.
