Excellent buy. Mike. I like both shotguns.

The cane guns that I have seen had that type action and were made in France and Belgium. However, it has been almost 20 years since I have seen a cane gun for sale. I believe they are rare in the US. The guns that I have seen were in calibers 9mm, .410 and some .44 or maybe 11mm (owner didn't know).

I am looking forward to seeing your video of shooting your new toys.

I like that 10 bore. The cane gun IS interesting and of larger bore than I'd have thought.
Years ago, due to back and knee problems, I bought a cane. My bro asked me if I wanted him to turn it into a cane gun. LOL

It would be an unobtrusive way to carry. I wonder what they put on the muzzle to protect it and still allow it to be shot.

Nice damascus on the single. Any idea of the age of it? Engraving looks like late 1800s?

It was originally proofed between 1875 and 1887 ("Not For Ball") and reproofed between 1954 and 1989.

the 10 ga is nice fowler. you are fortunate to have the right to own such caneguns. they are here and in other countrys strictly forbidden because of this "hidden gun" thing.

Same here, lancaster. I suspect same with cane swords - concealed weapon.
