but wouldn't swap it...

Friend of mine brought a Ruger M77 stainless Alaskan to buffalo camp a few years ago, in .416 Ruger.
We spent the night before the hunt doing the same thing with fine valve-grinding paste!
Sounds brutal, but it needed it!

I have done similar job for my friends BRNO 602 .375 H&H. Now itīs smooth enough.
