Hard work pays off Mick - well done indeed!
Great cartridge the 7x65R, do you use factory or home loads?

Good round. Friend of mine up here has s Merkle O/U, 16 bore and 7x65R. He shoots 160 gr. TSX and it shoots just under an inch at 100 meters for the first 3. Zeiss scope, huge crosshairs I'm still.learning to shoot. He's got it down "pat".
Appears Mic has too.

Loading 140 TTSX with 2209, very accurate and easy to shoot. Impressed with performance on sambar. haven't got a projectile back yet.
Cheers Mick

Yes, great to see.
Taking grandkids hunting and fishing is one of the great pleasures of later life.
Some good animals being turned into venison in this thread.
Loved your corned venison on the pheasant shoot Mick.
Will try that with some red deer meat if I get lucky again next year.
Love that fox too! Bagged one myself when in Vic the other day, but at night over a light with Mark's .204.
Nothing like calling them in close in daylight though!

Here's a meaty from Tuesday arvo hunt break in snotty weather. Honked by a couple of hindes then a long shot 160m with 318. Front on and down in 35m. Stutzen found it quickly. Recovered meat. This will make great corned venison.here's a few pics. Cheers Mick

Good stuff.

Great work Mick

Love the pic that captures the intent focus of TYB and the hound.

The .318 is a good thing.

Hopefully there will be security on the corned venison next year and I'll get some before the GSP does ;-)

Interesting the Atomic26 projectiles are made in South East SA.

I'd like to try the 175 gr Atomic26 in my 8x68S.

How do you think it would go? On fallow, reds, sambar? Other game? I'd imagine pass throughs? What about heavier species, donkays, large African game?

Trophy black rabbit.

I used to have a black rabbit where I hunted rabbits. Never got it. Or maybe I did.
