In reply to:

The formula of the cocktail should be so good in itself that whatever specific quality of whoever's booze is used won't make a rat's ass of difference in the end product.
We're talking about a cocktail designed to be used in rough bush conditions while in-country on some very dark land.

Like the rifles used on the game found out there there should be very little room for mistakes. This should be a cocktail with fairly generous chambers and a weighty action, it should come to mount fast and have a clear sighting system for when the shooter's eyes have gone tired or bloody.
The rapid dispatch of two of these cocktails should drop the toughest game, and for what it's worth there should be design of a stopping cocktail for tougher game which still stands after taking a well placed pair of this cocktail.

Sounds good. As long as it has the recoil to knock the panties off desirable young ladies.

For the bartender... [Re: NitroX]

I think our friend Mehul has something to work with here.

Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Perhaps we should arrange for a couple of nice young lasses to accompany him at the bar to ensure the time spent in research and development of this tonic won't go to waste.

Gentlemen,

Thank you very much for your suggestions. It is going to be fun to try different cocktails during the very cold winter in Chicago and I shall present my better results here. Whoever is here on a visit is most welcome to join the experiments with their friends. You would also get some spicy Indian style kebabs or biriyani to go with the drinks.

To start, I have posted a recipe for a cocktail that works equally well with black rum and gin. I have enjoyed mixing it at parties hosted by AR moderator and good friend Mark White and his brother Watie in Chicago. This is one of the old creations of the Raj and something that the British left behind in the old clubs in India - I have not heard of it being made in the UK at all. My club in Madras (now known as Chennai) has an affiliation with the NAtional Liberal Club at Whitehall Palace in London but the London club does not offer this cocktail. I wish the Brits knew what they were missing! Do try it and let me know your views.

Cheers and good hunting!
