Don't mean to interrupt John's collection subscribers, but any idea what new material is in the book?

Sure could use a treatise on the Various 500 BPE's.

I have thought of the very same thing but that would be a big fat book with all that material one can find of the .500express.

Yes lots out there on the various .500 Express, but not a lot with modern powders.

I guess in addition to the different chambers by this name, the different size and shape bores makles definitive research difficult.

Hi JOhn.

Thought of something.

Could you ask Graeme to sign the books exclusively for Nitro express forum?.

Spoke with Buffalo Arms last week and they are expecting their shipment of these books early this month. They have a large back order right now. They will spend a day or two just filling all these orders. They have plenty coming to fill all current orders. But they do expect to sell out early.

They did warn, and I am sure John is finding out, postage/shipping out of the country to a second country is high to outrageous.

DD, Speaking of high to outrageous shipping costs, I was shipping brass, bulletsm and 6 loaded rounds to Alaska and was quoted $125 by UPS. I pulled the bullets on the loaded cases and sent the package via small flat rate box for $10.

UPS seems to have lost the plot of late, we used to use them all the time before but the postage rates are now out of control. I was ordering some gearbox parts from a company in the US and the box was only small and weighed about 10 KG, they wanted $700 US to Melbourne Australia. Outrageous, however none of the people that I deal with in the US will send with USPS because they are so bad.

Matt,

I use USPS for all my shipping unless someone ask for either UPS or FedEx,

I just sold two pre-1898 rifles. I sent a rifle via USPS to Kodiak, AK (small town) and another to Pennsylvannia. The rifle going to Kodiak was sent by USPS and arrived 5 days later. The rifle sent to PA was sent by UPS at 150% the cost of the Alaskan rifle shipping cost and took 11 days.

Now, I have had bad luck with FedEx, UPS, and USPS but overall, USPS is more cost effective and as reliable as the other two.
