Nice gun!

That left 12 bore did sound weak. Did the case split in the adapter?

No. There wasn't any noticeable problems with the case. Thinking that the powder didn't fully light.

That would do it.
The impact on the box was considerably subdued as well.

did the gun having damascus barrels, looks so in the video. its your gun and no problem with the 12 ga adapter but with 10 ga shells I would stay with blackpowder loads then.

He noted the twist steel barrels in his opening post.
It might be nitro proofed, though.

Good damascus can stand light loads. The 10 ga loads were light 2 5/8" loads. I've been shooting damascus barreled rifles and shotguns for 25 years. I've only had one that looked sketchy and that I wouldn't shoot. But, I don't usually buy the cheap twist/damascus barreled firearms. I also always do a string test. Just my opinion.

I've heard Purdey's made twist barrels as late as 1928 for special orders.
My late friend Wil T. had a 10 bore Westley Richards that he sent 'back' to England for a fitted case as well as a going over as it was a bit stiff. It was returned to him, in fitted leather bound case & re-proofed for nitro loads as it was in "new" condition, and from the 1880's. It was choked, but I don't remember the constrictions - not much, maybe IMP/Cyl and MOD.
Beautiful gun. Wil used it for the trap turkey shoots in Smithers, in the late 70's and 80's, shooting 1 1/4oz. of shot. It would hammer the birds as Wil only used BP loads in it, in 2 7/8" cases(quite sure on the length).
The shot string was literally non-existent, and threw FLAT patterns, a wall of shot.

There's a firm in England that has a stock of old unfinished damascus barrels that you can buy. Some gunmaking firms have bought some to use on new shotguns.

Yes, Dyson. That sounds familiar.
