I recently purchased a tikke o/u double in 9.3x74r. I have the two-barrel laser boresighter.

Has anyone tried regulating one of these? I hear it's a chore.

Incidentally, I have another one of these rifles in 30-06 and it shoots under an inch with factory regulation and Federal 180gr sierra game kings.

Why not just go and shoot it over a Chrony at the range
with a range of loads and see what it does before
changing anything.

At least you will know what the next step is once you have
done this if it's not shooting correctly.

All these devices for scope / bore alingnment etc are all
very well but all you need is to hit the target and go from
there.

When regulating, a little adjustment moves the POI a lot.!!

The center wedge moves the bottom barrel more than it moves the upper barrel. Just friendly advice...

I believe the Tikka and the Valmet are in fact one and the same. I own a Valmet 412S with a set of 9.3x74R barrels. It really was an easy task to regulate. Get your hands on an owners manuel and take it one step at a time. Mine shoots very well at a 100 yards.
