its a wonderful trio, every single rifle hard to find but together in a good condition a dream to have. when in doubt I would buy the 500 jeffery rifle.

The 404 is the same as the one I have. Be nice to have the set.

I have a factory engraved 333 Jeffery takedown rifle. I think I could use it as an all round rifle. I might add it does suffice as a bird gun from time to time. I wish I had the know all to post pictures on this site.

Post them on the NitroExpress.Group FB site. I'll extra them from there. Or your own FB profile.

I well remember the lioness's picture in John Taylor's book African Rifles and Vartridges after getting slammed in the forehead with the .333's, 300gr. soft nose.

Here is the same guy shooting the 333 and 404. Not sure he is too fond of the light 404.

He fiddles with the bolt a lot.

Doesn't show the target?

Reckon he wanted to make sure everything was right and he got it in one take. Looked like he did not want to shoot the 404 any more than he had too.

Taylor noted the .333 having a 300gr. soft or solid at 2,200fps factory load.
My 9.3x57 ran re-sized 300gr. at 2,175fps, with no pressure signs and only .0002" expansion on the expansion ring of the case from FL sized. It easily could have made 2,200fps. The rifle was the sporter version of the Swede model 1896, being the model 94 (I've been told).

That fellow did NOT want to fire that .404. After seeing the recoil, I would not either.
The Jeffery .333 seemed to recoil more than my 9.3x57, but then I've never watched someone else shoot it.
My load in the 9.3x57 was 45gr. H4895.
Incidentally, the 9.3x62's early ammo was loaded with soft and solid .366" bullets at 2,175fps according to Taylor.
