Pity about the pitting, but hey, if it shoots like that, it will always have a place in the rack!

Nice price.

I too have thoroughly enjoyed custody of a number of vintage British rifles that I could never have considered acquiring at the price they would have commanded if without fault.

That is a very nice shooter. That is the type rifle that you can take into the woods for hunting. You should be happy hunting with it.

Maybe the pitting is from active use in moist jungles? It can happen.

Maybe but the barrels have no pitting on them.
