Attended an annual clay shoot a couple weekends ago

First round, 12 out of 15, all first barrels. All shoot well, Missed every second barrel with a single clay for the day.

Next round, twin clays. Shot almost all DOUBLE clays, with both barrels. All except two. One hit first,missed second clay. Then I missed the first, also missed the second. Like the singles. Got all the twin clays again.

Hooray, my rut of bad clay shooting was over!? Back to good.

Lunch. No booze

Second round ... My neck had stiffened up. Two joints in my spine have little cartilage from a 30 year old injury. Stiff painfull neck, had trouble turning my neck to the right, thick aching head. Also tired. Shot the opposite. Missed a lot more than I hit. Continued to always miss the clay if not getting it with the first barrels, Later tried out my "new" Jeffery side by side 16-bore, missed every clay .

Very depressing. Went from a top shooter toone of the worst from morning to afternoon. Depressing, not happy. I should have doped up on anti inflammatory pills at lunch time. I need a solution ...

How can one session be excellent at the top, then the latter session be the polar opposite ...
