Gibbs Farquharson in 303 British. Originally owned by Sydney Holland, 2nd Viscount Knutsford. In its original case and fitted with a QD mounted Kahles scope which was sold by Rigby (as per engraving on the tube). I haven't spent a lot of time in the field with this rifle but hope to do so in the near future. Chris

She's a beauty. I love the look of a Farquharson action. Now get out there and shoot the old girl!

Hi Chris. interesting and may I add very nice rifle. I am interested in some of the markings on the scope. I think it says "LENT BY VISCOUNT....". First am I reading that correctly and if yes what do you think that means?

Wow, what a wonderful kit. I love British SS rifles, particularly Farquharsons.

Thanks. You are correct regarding the engraving on the scope tube. It certainly is interesting wording, given that more common statements of this nature begin with 'Property of' or something along those lines.
