      #383631 - 25/03/24 07:46 AM

If you haven't heard of our new lead free ammunition, Hortonium then please visit the link below.

We are close to a deal with a firearms ammunition manufacturer and our shot machine is the making now and will be operational by the end of April.

So Hortonium is a lead replacement metal for shot and bullets, And the claim is it is similar to lead, and better than Bismuth as shit.

Price and availability?

Good if it allows us to continue using our vintage shotguns, rifles and handguns, even where greenie environmental draconians restrictions have been imposed.

Tell us about your Hortonium.

Can e.g. Hortonium bullets, ball and shot be made from ingots of the raw metal similar to lead?

As to lead, I believe the legal restrictions on it are driven purely by a anti gun and anti hunting agenda.

And environmental wackos. The largest lead deposits in the world are about 50 miles east of me. They've been worked since the 1700's and they're still the largest. But we can't refine it here.

The lead shot ban on water fowl here in B.C. was obviously a lie. The ducks they said died of lead poisoning used the the gvt. showing lead in the digestive tract, were of ducks X-rayed in various positions of whatever was necessary so shot appeared to be in the digestive tracts.
What also showed, was shot in some of the wings.
This, of course meant that the ducks were lost cripples, birds that escaped to die later & were collected and thus used for the purpose of their narrative of lead poisoning.

I am somewhat sceptical. Outside of the the spin from Horton, and the media writers echoing their claims, there appears to be no independent information as to what "Hortonium" actually is, not even an SDS statement.

I agree that much of the anti-lead ammunition movement is based on zealotry served up to regulators so lacking in knowledge they'll jump on any bandwagon. Unfortunately it is highly likely that the anti-lead brigade will get their way and projectiles (both shotgun and rifle) containing lead will be progressively banned. While I still use conventional projectiles for my centrefire rifles, I have loads developed using non-lead alternatives ready to use should the day come.

If they have indeed come up with a lead substitute with acceptable performance and cost then much kudos to them. However I would wait to see more detailed information and independent testing. At the moment it looks more like what the IT types refer to as 'vapour ware'.

Hortonium is probably in the same chemical family as Unobtanium.

Yes.

A bit of politeness gentlemen. This isn't ArabReloading.

HortonGun, may respond tompolite questions.

And I hope for Hortonium success seeing the rubbish restrictions forced upon us by unnecessary regulations and increasing restrictions.

In the meantime I'll continue using lead everywhere and anytime I can. Shooting ducks is the only restriction here.
