It's home finally. Took almost an extra month as it's so far unique in Australia. No other Boucher side by side 12-bores in Australia on the National Identification data base.

I've only got some 65 mm 5 shot ammo so far. I might have some other shells at home.

Will try a pattern test from each barrel.

I shouldn't visit such places. A deposit was put on a 16-bore Jeffery side by side, choked cylinder and perhaps three-quarters (?). The 3/4ers seems strange matched with a cylinder "choke".

Weighing less than 6 lbs.

May make a nice skeet and quail gun.

Needs some work, a new recoil page. Some screws cleaned up.

At last a British game gun.

I load 2 1/2" for my Field SxS, using 75gr. 1F and 1 1/4oz. 7 1/2's for clay birds at rendezvous. No chokes, cylinder bores.
Missed one bird in 25.
The event was 20 shots, and went 5 more in a shoot-off for 1st. The other guy was shooting a Cooey single shot. The only stipulation was it had to have a hammer, or hammers.
I lost. Didn't get on the bird soon enough, my bad.

Excellent!!

I'll be very interested in the regulation of those barrels. I always wonder how the "old guns" actually performed. I wonder what the standards might have been for the maker? For that matter, what the standards are for modern makers!

The Boucher purchased almost a year ago.

I'm doing a fair amount of shotgunning. Clays. Rabbits.nFox drives next month. Duck season soon. Quail a month later. I've got pigeons to shoot in and off my sheds. Making a huge mess.

But all using purchased loaded shot shells. I have reloaded for my shotgun for twenty years!

My cheapish shotgun loading press, needs to be unearthed. See what loads the powder bushes throw again. Where's the instructions?

2 1/2" factory shot shells are fairly limited, 4 shot, maybe 6 shot only. Pretty hard or I,possible to get any other shot.

Handl ioading eg 8 shot, BBs, or SGs, would be the only option for having them to shoot. And ball of slug loads, of course .

I'm keen to see how CM76 goes with his newly purchased Rigby 12-bore shot and ball gun.

Fuck season !!!!! That must be something unique to South Australia, sounds interesting though.

I would be interested in participating. How much for a license? What's my limit?

Looked at Bronzewing directly & nothing came up as far as shot on their site, must be playing coy about it perhaps?

That could depend on age, physical condition & medication (if you know what I mean?)

My memories go back to when I used to participate in fuck seasons. It was different in those days, the season seemed to go on all year. Now with all the regulation I am placed under, it is such as short limited season and I never seem to be in the right place at the right time any more.

Fat fingers small screen keyboard typo corrected.

Those seasons have been banned for thirty one years.
