Best SUV tents
It appears unless you can't tie or attach your tent to your SUV or 4WD these days to incapitate your vehicle, it's not worth using!

It appears the main reason is for “Ease of charging your personal devices ...” , so much for “roughing it” .

Tents are very old fashioned. Just not usable.
But if they're attached to a vehicle or trailer they're fantastic and the trailer is worth at least $50,000.

I think perhaps my little 22foot(inside) trailer might cost in the neighbourhood of $50,000 nowadays - maybe more. It was $40,000.00 in 2018. I'm DONE with tenting, although the last cot I had was very comfortable and made out of 3/8" plywood. The deck was 1/2"x 4" slats. I had a 3" thick medium density foamy on top of those. Over the years I've had all manner & types of cots, but this last one was great. I much prefer the full queen sized bed (not RV Queen) in my trailer for 4 to 5 months of the year. The outside kitchen is quite nice in warm weather & pretty much the reason we bought this particular trailer for our cross country trip that year. Now, THIS is camping. Where I "camp", we have sewer service, water and 30amp power.

Oh yeah - full queen sized too, for my queen, when she's with me. When she isn't I can stretch out diagonally, although the bed is long enough that my feet don't hang over the end. With the standard RV Queen bed, then hand over the end. We don't like that. This unit is my home for the summer (last 3 so far). There is enough clearance between the rear axle and back bumper, that I can get into most lakes of rough roads, as well. That was another reason for buying this model.
