It's always interesting to see what was offered to hunters at the past.
Some of these cartridges have proven their worth and are therefore still in use nowadays. The cartridge 350 Rigby but does not seem to have been too successful. I have seen more rifles former caliber 350 Rigby that were subsequently switched to caliber 375 H&H Magnum. Perhaps it was because one wanted how often to use the cartridge 350 Rigby for something it was not intended for. The advertising clearly states that it is a ideal cartridge for medium game.

many times the medium caliber don't find friends, think on the 41 mag revolver cartridge for being the best example. when you want big you take the big like 44 mag. anyone else is happy with the small caliber, in this case 357 mag. nobody realy belief that the medium caliber merge the best of both worlds.

From my understanding the 350 Rigby was not loaded to its true potential. The 350 Norma mag probably would of succeeded but the bullets they used were to fragile and broke up to soon on big animals.

John Taylor wrote fondly of the .350 Rigby but he too was even fonder of the .375. An original .350 Rigby rifle is a great prize nowadays. The only complaint I can see is that the sectional density of a 225 grain bullet in .35 caliber is a little lacking compared to a 300 grain .333 Jeffery, etc. But this is charts and tables gun writer stuff. Taylor had no trouble with the cartridge.
Gavin Gardner had a magnificent original .350 Rigby a few years ago, housed in an airtight “deed box” made especially for the rifle. What a prize that would be.
