Line up of cartridges
      #37844 - 20/09/05 10:06 AM

If somebody has some different cartridges used for DG, could they take pictures, and post them here? Or are there already posted pictures of different DG cartridges?

Would like to see how they compare to each other. Kind of confusing when pepole talk about a 500N.E 3" and 500 N.E and so on..

Just an idea!

Northman

Suggest you buy yourself a copy of

Cartridgs of the World.

It has pictures plus history + load data of Factory rounds
and reloads - although generally you wouldn't use it as primary
load data.

Westley Richards' website has a section showing the cartridges they offer, photographed alongside a ruler, which may be the easiest source showing comparative size.

Otherwise, hit a gun show at a table run by a cartridge collector and you can see everything imaginable in one spot.

Northman

Please update your profile so we know which State and Country you are in.

If in the US, probably any bookshop that sells Gun Books.

I would say Cabelas sell it if you are in the US or any good gunshop
that stocks books.

Type in Cartridges of the World into any of the web site book sites - ie

http://www.bibliofind.com/
http://www.bookfinder.com/

AND of course Amazon.com

To go a bit of topic. Does anybody know of a company that ships ammunition? Either in the US or Brittan?

Do some of you order ammunition from another country, or do you buy it from the local dealer?

Kynoch sells a poster of all the cartridges that they manufacture which is definitely worth having. In the U.S. you may be able to buy it through Galazan's.

In most countries and I am sure Europe is the same
it is hard to get transport companies to ship Ammo

It is also very expensive unless it is done in bulk due to
the dangerous goods charges involved.

Call one of the gun shops in Norway and ask who delivers the
Winchester, Norma ammo to them and then call the freight
company.

Northman - just out of interest,
what ammo are you after that can't be purchased
off the shelf or reloaded from components ?
