No one watched it? I love that place.

Would like to go back. And a number of other places. But not with annoying tourists. And a good guide. In Kanha though the English couple my wife and I shared a vehicle with and the Indian guide were fine.

He was very upset because he took us one day to a far less visited part of Kanha. Meanwhile a family of tigers spent two hours walking and lounging around the tracks in the most visited part. Everyone else got their fill and more of tigers. The guide was very upset.

As hunters we know that's how it goes.

The guide in Bandavagarh reseves was a twit. Though we did see a tiger walking there with "200 hundred" vehicles making it like a main street if a city.

Guides in India are very much hit and miss. If one went back often, one could perhaps make sure one hired a favourite.

The guide in Sri Lanka was very good. We sat for 45 minutes still and quiet once because the "jungle folk" were telling us a leopard was very close. It exploded right beside us across a small clearing chasing boar. I never saw it. Neither did our regular driver. The guide driving the jeep and my wife saw it though. The difference of angle perhaps from within the jeep? I saw running boar but no leopard. Damn!

Another time in Zimbabwe self driving in Western Hwange we spent a half day in a small raised platform above a stinky long drop toilet. Saw lots of different game and observed their habits. Impala, kudu, roan, warthog, elephant. A guide often gets impatient and isn't willing just to sit and wait ...

I'd like to return to Kanha, and also go to Corbett. Corbett is too cold during the Indian winter.
