And another two cartridges of no interest to me.

Maybe I have become a bit eccentric in my old age.

The munitions makers much prefer beginner shooters as prospects.

Now now, the .375 H&H is so "yesterday". Doesn't every REAL rifle enthusiast require a rifle in the "6.5 ManBun Express"?

My DG calibers begin with a 4 , not a 3.

Has anyone looked at the link wording?

Does anyone think it is strange to compare a 6.5 to a .375 ?

I hadn't seen a 6.5 Creedmoor article for a week then saw a Hornady bullet story so couldn't resist a joke.

There's a lot of cartridge jokes out there.

Give it up John, I don’t think your joke worked as you will have to spell out the punchline. Problem is that too many shooters would believe someone would write such an article.

Hi Gents, I'm going to throw a curve ball at this one.
Around 30 years ago I got to know a rather eccentric gentleman who was an enthusiast of the .375 H&H . He lived in Sydney and was in the same profession as I.
He believed and was intent on proving that the .375 was and is the most inherently accurate caliber in existence! If he was with us today, he would be very capable of writing the article and proving beyond all doubt that the .375 is superior to the 6.5 crudmore in accuracy.
He wasn't a hunter, he was a bench rest shooter and had several.375 Remington 700's . His process was to buy a new 700 and have it rebarrelled by a renown Australian barrel maker with a benchrest standard heavy barrel , fit a Tasco 6x fixed power scope and proceed to shoot it off the bench. He actually damaged his shoulder so had a leather bag made up that was filled with lead shot
Why the Tasco 6x? He argued that 6x was the perfect sight for shooting the .375 off the bench and it would destroy any scope, so, for his purpose, the Tasco was much cheaper than expensive European scopes and when it failed, he just threw it in the bin and took another Tasco from his cupboard.
He was, at the time, in the process of writing an article, actually more like a dissipation, on the accuracy of the .375. I must track it down.
I would suggest that in the 3 or 4 years that I was in regular contact, he fired more rounds from his .375's than anyone else on the planet.
So there you are, a fair comparison and the .375 comes out the winner.

Cheers. JH

My Whitworth .375 with its whippy lightish barrel shot RWS 300 gr KSs Conepoint factory ammo at some chronographed super speeds three shots into a single hole group, measured edge to edge minus one calibre less than .33 of an inch.

I've currently no .375H&H's, although I have owned 3.
I do currently have my second .375/06IMP that duplicates 1912 .375H&H ballistics + little.
270gr. at 2,650fps, 300's at 2,472fps & 235's at 2,845fps.
The article in question of this thread, .375H&H vs 6.5 Creedmoor is a ridiculous concept in itself.

Firstly the link doesn't work. Because it is fictious. I created it. Read the words in the link.

But the gist of the article includes how the older cartridges are downloaded in factory ammo. Therefore it is inferior. Such as X fps. Low! But XYZ fps is possible with handloads.

Now we talk about the new cartridge. Obviously the best. But a lot of time fail to record any real ballistics! Why? Perhaps not up to the XYZ velocity ...

PS apologies to Creedmoor lovers on NE. The 130 year old Swede is still better.

PPS the .375 H&H Mag is still the greatest all rounder.
