The supposed "404 Jeffrey" that was being made by ? Winchester ?
was having the barrels made outside of ? Winchester ? anyway
so how they could call it a Winchester is a bit like the UK system
with Webley actions retailed by everyone else.

It doesn't surprise me - after all, everything esle is outsourced
now so what does it matter.

I read sometime ago that HS Precision is the only company that builds the entire rifle in house.

I can believe the out sourcing.....but selling off the machinery is not that easy to believe.....it's used and not too many buyers....so it' sells for pennies on the dollar.

Then one cannot replace it if one decided to return to inhouse Mfr.

This is hard to swallow...it don't make good sense.
