Newly acquired Single Shot - 6mm PPC - The Ultimate Benchrest Rail Gun
Hello All,
When I saw this advertised for sale on the Classified section on a different Forum, I couldn't resist. Although I've owned, and still own several Benchrest rifles, I've never owned a sophisticated Rail Gun.
This a remarkable shooting machine package.
Here are the details
Custom made by Clarence Hammond - Shilen XX Match Barrel - Tim Myer Custom Action - Jewel Trigger - Leupold Competition 45x45 Benchrest Scope = Benchrest Neck-size die - 108 pieces Lapua brass - and two heavy duty trunk cases.
Barrel Assembly weighs 40 pounds - Base Assembly weighs 35 pounds - total weight = 75 pounds.
shooting results to follow

I hope you have hired help to cart that sucker around Buckstix! That's looks a seriously accurate bit of kit there I might add. It will be interesting just to see what it can do. Certainly will be a challenge in precision for you to wring every last millimetre out of this rig. Here's to getting some good scores & having a heap of fun in the process!

Cool! - I had a couple friends, brother machinists who made a rig like that to "test the conditions". They were avid BR shooters and when they "threw a shot" not indicated by the flags, they'd rap off a few rounds out of their set-up return to battery "rail gun" to see it it was them, or the conditions. That was back mid 1970's.
