New Model Colt Anaconda
      #355736 - 04/08/21 03:15 AM

I have a customer who wants an older model Anaconda mounted with a scope.
He knows that it is collectable but doesn't care.
I called Colt for the new model hole spacing and they were no help. I kid you not, they wouldn't give me the measurements.
Anyone out there that might know of or able to measure those numbers?
Also, if there is a mount that works without any modification, that could work as well.

Thanks for the help.

As I respond to my own post...
I just discovered a discontinued Burris mount that attaches to the rib. I tend to avoid such things but it seemed to have a pretty good review so I picked it up.
Please, any info, advice, or experience would be appreciated. I would prefer for this job not to end up back on my bench.

Watching the television version last evening of GUNS AND AMMO, they actually were doing a review of the new model on it and showed a scope on it.. wonder if they would have anything on their site about that or send a question to them via email??

I have an old model at home, new, in the box. I could measure that one as well..

Thx

I called Colt’s Customer Service and talked to a guy named Steve. Colt sent out a handful of Anacondas with the new optional rail to a handful of select media writers as part of the review and evaluation process. The new rail for the Anaconda will only be available through Midway USA and Brownells. The rail should be available for purchase by the end of Summer or early Fall. I directly asked for a specific date, but I was not given any dates. I asked if a pre-order could be done and was told not at this time. When I called both Midway USA and Brownells, both companies are aware of the new Anaconda ramp, but can’t take any order/pre-order because Colt has not gave the part number yet. No other updates on the brass bead front sights or prices for the new mount either. I guess we will have to stay tuned and keep checking back to Midway USA and Brownells at this time

Thanks Ripp. I figured that it would be something like that.
I was going to make something similar if needed except it would probably go further out on the barrel.
