Fellas, I'd like to do some shooting off the sticks to practice for a someday safari. I know how forend position on some rifles can have a huge effect on accuracy/impact point. This is obviously one of the things one wants to know about his rifle when using it off sticks. But gnerally, where and how do you like to nestle the rifle off sticks? Seems that in several videos I have seen, the forend rests in the sticks just ahead of the left hand's position on the forend.

The proper position is with the support hand holding the sticks to steady them and the forward portion of the fore-arm on the hand. Since the sticks won't support the weight of the rifle in it's entirety, you still have to hold it up. Do a search on the subject and there's a picture or two on how it looks with the proper technique.

Bill, I sent you a couple of photos this morning. I was having some trouble with my network provider, so let me know if they finally made it. I also sent a seperate email with some tips that work for me.
