For those of you who've been to Africa more than once, was your 1st trip the best, or did it get better with each trip?

I think your "NEED" to go back is stronger after your first trip, than later ones, but I also think the actual safaris get better every time you go! Like potato chips, you can't be sattisfied with just one!

Humm, Mack you may have something there. I have made one trip. I worked a bunch of overtime hours to afford it. I have a strong desire return. So strong that I applied for a transfer there. They interviewed me two weeks ago. If I get the postion at least then travel will be paid. I sure hope the overtime is good.

An African safari can change your life (by changing your outlook).

My first safari was very special and created a constant itch I have had to scratch for the last 11 years, but the one I enjoy the most is the one I'm planning next!

The first one was good, sort of a "let's go deer hunting in Africa" and as stated above, left me wanting more. The second, a DG hunt for buffalo was better though the screwup of the trophy shipping left a bad taste in my mouth. The third one almost got me killed and was the best yet! I'm really looking forward to next year even though DG isn't on the menu this time. Lord, give me more Africa!
