That is a gorgeous rifle.
If I had ordered that rifle it certainly would have the cheeks of the stock checkered in classic Westley Richards fashion. How could they have overlooked that detail?
What it should be:
In continuing or reviving the classics, it's so important to conform to the classic design on all details.
JMHO, YMMV!

I wouldn't change a thing.
She is a beautiful thing.
Would I go for the single trigger???............not if it held up delivery.......or it was sitting on the rack in front of me with double triggers!!!

I agree with twobobbwanna, the new one is lovely just as it is. I actually prefer plain to the checkered "lock" panels.

On the Explora site, WR has often such beautifully made rifles. They make them regularly and with such great skill.
The photography is also excellent.
I have to say, I do prefer "simpler" rifles. Though I could handle owning beautiful rifles such as WR makes.
