Giving an older knife the once over.
      #344379 - 18/08/20 02:24 AM

many years ago (16) i made a knife for a freind.
he hunts alot, and doesnīt spend alot of time on careing for stuff.
he dropped in the other day and asked if i could
look the knife over.

so i did..
i replaced the handles, and made a new sheath to fit.

here are some before and after pics.

New knife handle/grip? What is the wood? Very light coloured? Is it finished yet?

the scales are brown mikarta, beadblasted for extra grip
doesnīt absorb water the way wood does if you donīt oil it.
the knife is beeing delivered to the owner later this week.

Very nice; minimalistic decoration and classic lines, as I do like things!

Had a tough life that knife & a lot of work!
You did well to make that look like new again - brilliant work on the scales, rather fitting for that type of hunter.

I carry a very small similar knife and sheath with me all the time when on the ranch. Use it daily..

This looks very handy as well..

What's the over all length on that one.

Looks like a very handy blade.
