Can anyone give me an update on what Philipp Ollendorf may be doing now? Is he still building firearms or moved on to other things? His singleshots were some of the most wonderfully handling rifles I've ever seen. http://www.germanhuntingguns.com/archives/ollendorf-philipp-of-austria/
Thanks

Hey Daryl. I used to be DPhillips here, but many moons ago. I lost all my account info and had to re-register.
I met Mr. Ollendorf in 2003 or 2004 at SCI and handled one of his rifles. It was like a wand, or a bamboo flyrod. I already had Hagn building a rifle for me, so could not venture further. My how I would love to have one of Ollendorf's bar-in-wood style singleshots.
Oh to add, Mr. Ollendorf is a younger man than me, and I ain't that old!

I have met Mr. Ollendorff at SCI in Reno too, around 2005. I remember a very pleasant man, his charming wife, and guns that were simply wonderful in every aspect, design, workmanship, handling.... Now searching the internet, there is no recent trace.
