This is different, and I thought rather impressive. He's crafted an exact replica 'Greek'military contract Mannlicher Schoenauer, complete to the bolt and magazine: YouTube

It would have been nice if he had held it closer to the camera, though. His other videos are also very interesting.

Hmmmmm????? Lots of very questionable parts to this video (example installation of the screws, wooded screws into wooden threaded holes? pretty forceful with that wrist action on the screw driver). I choose to call it fake news. IMHO

I wondered too. I even thought about 3-D printing. but then I checked out the MG42 video. When you look at a close-up of the trigger guard, it's obviously wood. I'm not ruling out the possibility that there might be CNC involved, but if it's truly done by hand, I have to take my hat off to him. Who's to say how other people pass those long winter nights? Perhaps this quarantine will give him the opportunity to get started on that 1:1 Bofors gun he's always wanted to do....

"Fake news"?

For one thing it's not "news", for another he has a series of videos: WoodenGun

On this one it clearly shows metal screws; Wood MG42 and on the MS there must be a spring in the bolt or it wouldn't function as it did.

Several of his videos show springs and a few other small metal parts. Nowhere does he claim that they are 100% wood, does he?
