well went out and shot my newly aquired pre 64 model 70 in 375 hh.although stout not as hard kicking as i was envisioned. even though it was pp partizon ammo.now to strip it send it off to get reblued sense it doesin't have any. do some stock work.and order featherweight bits.who makes real nice scope rings for it? haven't seen any that i'm in love with. has redfield jr on it now and is hard to load.

Good choice of rifle, what grade is it now. I use Talley rings and bases on all my Model 70's. The rings in particular look very good and work exceptionally well. I only use the Quick Detachable rings and they always return to zero perfectly. I would fit some Williams Bottom Metal at the same tome if you are getting stock work done.
